Frequently Asked Questions

What folks have asked before working with me

  • I offer a variety of services including individual and couples sessions. I offer individual therapy for ages 15 and up who want to live with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion.

My work is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes learning new ways to relate to your thoughts and emotions so they have less power to dictate your choices.

Together, we’ll explore what truly matters to you, identify the patterns that keep you stuck, and practice skills that help you take meaningful action even when life feels uncertain or difficult.

I offer couples therapy with a special focus on improving communication, rebuilding connection, and navigating transitions such as parenting, relocation, or career shifts.

My approach integrates emotionally focused and mindfulness-based techniques to help partners understand each other’s needs, repair ruptures, and strengthen trust.

Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on building habits of communication that foster long-term closeness.

  • In the first session, we’ll discuss what’s been bringing you stress or difficulty, go over any relevant background information, and start outlining your hopes and goals for therapy.

This is a chance for you to ask questions, share what feels important, and for us to set a direction that feels collaborative and supportive.

  • Each therapy session is typically 50-55 minutes long. This timeframe allows us to dive deep into your concerns while ensuring we have enough time to discuss skills and possible homework between sessions.

  • The frequency of our sessions will depend on your unique needs and goals.

Typically, clients start with weekly sessions, which can be adjusted as we make progress.

  • Reach out by form, email, or phone to set up a consultation. Before scheduling our first session, I offer a brief call so we can connect and make sure it feels like the right match.

  • I am out of network with all insurance providers. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

It's recommended that you contact your insurance company to understand your coverage for therapy services.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have!

  • The cost per therapy session is $250 for individual therapy and $275 for couples therapy.

The Investment

  • Insurance

I am not paneled with insurance. I am an out-of-network provider and offer an itemized bill for reimbursement from your insurance company. I encourage you to contact your insurance company to determine your out-of-network reimbursement.

I am happy to help you figure out your benefits, but ultimately, understanding your coverage is your responsibility. Being an out of network provider allows me to have a smaller practice where I can give more attention to each client, continue being up to date on the most recent research and trainings, and meet people in the community or in their homes when appropriate.

My individual rate for a 50-55 minute session is $250. My couples and family therapy rate is $275.

  • Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
